Jornal Público destaca autocarros elétricos da Caetano Bus que têm o INEGI como parceiro

INEGI and Caetano Bus have been established a long-lasting relationship and their portfolio have several technology development projects, mainly focused on the study of new materials and new structural solutions. The objective is to reduce the weight of buses in order to increase the energy efficiency of vehicles.

Recently, an article in a Portuguese newspaper entitled Público has highlighted the activity that has been developed by the national bus development and production company, particularly in electric mobility field. In this business, which represents an investment of 8.5 million euros for Caetano Bus, INEGI is one of the main research and innovation partners.

Well-known examples of products that resulted from the partnership between INEGI and Caetano Bus are the COBUS - airport buses that have been exported to more than 90 countries, representing a fleet of more than three thousand circulating around the world – and the e.City Gold – electric buses that include the first electric chassis and that support a business plan that will allow Caetano Bus more than to duplicate the current production until 2025.
